Introduction
To achieve the aim of this Learning Area, that of providing students with the “ability to make reasoned and informed decisions as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world,” teaching programs use the social inquiry process, (Investigation, Communication and Participation (ICP)), to assist students acquire and apply learning area knowledge. Learning should be personally relevant to the students, values oriented and action intending.
