Assemblies

These are held every three weeks and include an item from a designated class.

Presentation Night

This night is held at the end of the school year and showcases an item from each class and presentations are given for student achievements. It is a fantastic night held out under the stars where parents, family and friends bring a chair, sit on the lawn and enjoy the show.

Learning Journey

Our learning journey held at the end of term one invites parents to come and enjoy the work that their children have completed throughout the term. This event is held in the eveningEvents Learning Journey and is always a great night.

Swimming Carnivals

At the beginning of the year our faction and interschool (competing against Tom Price) swimming carnivals are held. Using our fantastically appointed town pool, these days showcase the fantastic abilities of our young swimmers and promote participation, enjoyment and team spirit.

Athletics Carnivals

Our athletics carnivals are held at the end of term three. Faction sports are held over two days, one for field events and one for track events. This format is followed in the interschool carnival where we compete against Tom Price Schools. Once again the emphasis is on participation, enjoyment and team spirit.

Tom Price is our closest town, so throughout the year we are involved in numerous sporting events including:

  • Eagles Cup Footy
  • Cross Country
  • Jump Rope for Heart

Every year we participate in fundraising for the Heart Foundation. Children gain sponsorship for the jump off day and then all proceeds go to the heart foundation. It is a very worthy cause and one that we have supported for many years. It also encourages students to become more active.

Senior Camp

To enable our senior class to bond and become leaders in our school we organise a yearly camp. This camp incorporates fun, learning and team building and has visited such places as Canberra and Point Perron.

Range of Incursions

Range of incursionsThroughout the year we invite a wide variety of visiting performers for the enjoyment and engagement of our students. Groups range from authors, Scitec, Constable Care, sporting clinics, dance and musical groups.
