The role of the Board is that of involvement in the governance of the school. This means taking part in the shaping and monitoring of the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions. In addition, other functions are specified in the legislation.
The Board does not have a role in school management. This is the responsibility of the Principal and involves educational leadership and the effective day-to-day administration, supervision and control of the school and its staff.
"I’ve been a resident of Paraburdoo for the past 8 ½ years. I have 3 children,2 daughters and 1 son, with my youngest daughter currently attending PPS, as the older 2 are enrolled at TPSHS.
I am actively involved in the Paraburdoo Armature Swim Club, and Paraburdoo Squash & Racket club."

Will be working as deputy Principal on Mondays and Tuesdays, and teaching in room 6 Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
Lead teacher and trainer for Talk 4 Writing in the Karijini network.
Have taught in Hong Kong, Vietnam & a number of Perth and regional schools.
"I moved to Paraburdoo from Newman with my family at the start of 2020. I currently have two daughters attending Paraburdoo Primary, & one now at TPSHS.
I am wrapped to be a part of the school board & looking forward to working along side our current board members to discuss the things that will benefit our students going forward."

I have a background in science, and have spent 10 years teaching Primary science.
I teach in Room 6 on Mondays and Tuesdays, and teach whole school Science from Wednesday to Friday.
"I’ve been in paraburdoo for over 18 months and have served on the school board for about 12 months.
I have 3 daughters, 2 who attend Paraburdoo Primary. My eldest is in Year 2 and my middle girl is in kindy, my youngest is 18 months old.
I am also involved with DFES and currently the Vice President of the school P&C committee.”
Functions Of the School Board
Take part in:
establishing and reviewing from time to time, the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions;
the planning of financial arrangements necessary to fund those objectives, priorities and directions;
evaluating the school’s performance in achieving them; and
formulating codes of conduct for students at the school.
Determine, in consultation with students, their parents and staff a dress code for students when they are attending or representing the school.
Promote the school in the community.
charges and contributions for the provision of certain materials, services and facilities;
extra cost optional components of educational programs;
items to be supplied by a student for personal use in an educational program;
any agreements or arrangements for advertising or sponsorship in relation to the school.
